MELVIN DINATA

Melvin is an undergraduate student at University of Melbourne pursuing a double major path of Architecture & Construction. Born from a humble Indonesian family, Melvin has always been both the caring family member and enthusiastic student. To further his education, he left for Singapore and Australia where he learns to be self-dependent and adaptable. 

​

Since young, Mel has always shown deep passion for design and the creative side of the world. He is also well-equipped with commendable design skills , both hand-drawn and digital, which have earned him multiple awards and honorable mentions. 

​

The decision to pursue a professional study in Architecture & Construction is contributed by his aspiration to solve urban-living problems through sustainable and visually-appealing design answers.

Enrolled in Bachelor of Design , Melvin is still pursuing a double major of Architecture and Construction. As of 2018, he is starting his 2nd year as an undergraduate and is currently mantaining a H1 WAM. Although early in his University journey, he has already obtained numerous achievements such as having his works chosen for exhibitions at the Melbourne School of Design and won a design tender competition with The Venny Playgrounds.

Melvin completed his 'O' Levels qualification at Clementi Town Secondary School (CTSS), a government based school. During his period of study, he performed well academically and was active with extra-curricular activities such as being the Club President of Art Society. 

He has also made numerous close friends which he still keeps in contact despite having moved to a different country.

COLLEGE

TRINITY  COLLEGE

Melvin attended Trinity College Foundation School (TCFS) via March Accelerated Intake prior from receiving an offer from University of Melbourne. 

The education lasted for 8 months with subjects taught such as Physics and Mathematics. There, he obtained numerous awards such as the Environment and Design Award and graduated with a final 97 average mark.
