Color (in the) Woods is a small-scale architectural project aimed at exploring the basics of a viewing cabin in the woods. Raw materials such as wood and concrete are intentionally used to create the natural texture of the building and relating it back to the landscape context. The facade is mostly comprised of large glass openings to maximise natural light and creating a diffused lighting inside that promotes tranquility. This also provides greater viewing opportunity on every side of the building, blurring the lines between exterior and interior. The structure's interior takes the form of a simple conjoined rectangular space meant for relaxation and admiration. The furniture inside remains true to the natural theme of the whole building. The affordance of the sitting and tabling prompts the visitors to engage with the building's form.

Whether its for a short shelter from the chill outside, guests can indulge in complimentary books and warm drinks whilst encased by the mesmerising view of the Mount Baw Baw.
